Baby and Child Naming Ceremonies

Welcoming a new child into the family is a great cause for celebration and a naming ceremony can be the perfect way to do this. Whether your child is newly born or a little older, a naming ceremony can offer a meaningful welcome to a new addition to your family. Perhaps you are looking for a non-religious alternative to a baptism that includes Guardians or Guideparents (rather than Godparents)? Or you would like to mark the occasion with a prayer but not hold the ceremony in church? Maybe you would like to include some symbolic elements such as tree-planting, sand-blending or candle-lighting? As your baby naming celebrant, I will work with you to create a special ceremony to welcome a child in a way that reflects your preferences and who you are as a family.

New identity and healing ceremonies

Naming ceremonies aren’t just about welcoming a child into the family. These ceremonies can also serve to commemorate and celebrate a change of name post divorce or perhaps as a symbolic way to leave behind an old name or identity and embrace a new title or identity that better reflects who you are and the life you want to live going forward. Whatever your requirements, I can create a fully personalised and meaningful ceremony for you to mark the beginning of your new life.

My fee for 2023/2024 naming ceremonies conducted within 30 miles of Basingstoke, Hampshire is £400. Any additional costs for travel or equipment will be discussed and agreed at the time of booking. Please get in touch to discuss your requirements.
